System overview
The Tie-Bolt is a titanium tunnel for which the suture passes through in the arytenoid cartilage. This strengthens the suture-cartilage interface by transferring the force of the suture to the TB, thereby preventing the suture cutting through the cartilage.
Two versions of the tie bolt are available: one with a coarse, deep-thread profile and one with a fine, closely spaced thread. The choice of version is based on surgeon preference.
